Bertha Beckwith
 
   Bertha “Gosney” Beckwith died Saturday in San Jose.  She was 95.
   A native of Morgan Hill, she was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Santa
Clara County.  For most of her life she was a resident of Morgan Hill and San
Martin.
   She is survived by a daughter, Eva Coleman of San Jose; grandchildren,
Michael Julian of San Jose and Judy Potter of Santa Clara; great-grandchildren
Andy, Alex and Kelsey Potter of Santa Clara.
   She was preceded in death by her husband Chet Gosney of San Martin.
   Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a. m. at the Johnson Funeral
home in Morgan Hill.  Private burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Morgan
Hill.  Officiating will be the Rev. Gary Berkland.


Additional Comments:
Bertha Eva Schneider was a daughter of Rudolph G. Schneider.  She was born
November 25, 1897 in California.  She married first Chester J. Gosney June 18,
1915 in San Jose, California.  Their son Clarence John Gosney was born October
03, 1916 and died August 24, 1996.  He is buried with them in Mount Hope
Cemetery.  Their daughter Eva Gail Gosney was born December 19, 1917.  She
married first Thomas Edward Julian.  They had a son, Michael.  Thomas died in
1934.
