Death of a Former Merchant

   John G. Dow, a former business man of Morgan Hill, died at El Centro,
Imperial county, Sunday, January 30, 1910, aged 58 years.  Mr. Dow was a native
of Iowa, and went into business early in life in New Mexico, where he remained
for about fifteen years.  He then came to Morgan Hill, engaging in general
merchandising business.  In 1904 he moved to Calexico and entered into business,
where he was engaged until his death.  Mr. Dow was a devout Methodist and an
ardent worker in the church to which he belonged.  He left a widow and two
children, Miss Grace and Master Rex Dow.
