Amelia Leigh Rodgers Gibson 
May 26, 1919 - January 3, 2005



Amelia L. R. Gibson, 85, passed away on January 3, 2005, at 12:05 a.m. Born in 
Covington, KY, Amelia was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church, and served 
in convalescent ministry, music, youth, and teaching. Amelia worked 13 years as 
an insurance secretary and upon the death of her husband, Lawrence, she raised 
2 sons while heading the copy and advertisement dept. of Fremont Union High 
School District, San Jose, CA. 
Amelia is survived by her 2 sons, Greg Gibson and Eric Gibson; 2 daughters-in-
law, Pamela and Terry; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. 
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2005, at the Alameda 
Family Funeral Home, 12341 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd., Saratoga, CA.
