Mrs. Kimble, with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Hatch, went to Minnesota when she was 12 years old. They settled in Pickwick, Winona county where she lived until her marriage with Mr. George Kimble, who died in Morgan Hill some seven years ago. At her marriage she removed to Homer, Winona county, where she resided until she came to Morgan Hill. She early in life gave her heart to God and joined the church. She ever lived an [sic] humble, consistent Christian life. She was always present at all church services, especially Sunday school, and mid-week prayer meetings when her health permitted. She was largely influential in organizing the first church and building the first house of worship in the town of Homer. She was a faithful and loving wife and mother. Her husband could safely trust her and her children rise up and call her blessed. Her friends, and there were many, will miss her cheerful smiles and encouraging presence. She was a tireless worker in the W.C.T.U., missionary societies, and all charitable philanthropies and activities and was ever ready with sympathy and encouragement for the sorrowful and discouraged. She has left a sad void in many hearts, that may grow less acute but will never heal. Mrs. C. M. King Mrs. Kimble is survived by three children: Mrs. Anna Marie Beckwith, Mrs. Charlotte Louise Acton and Elsworth Milton Kimble, all of Morgan Hill. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the Acton Residence, Rev. L. P. Walker, pastor of the Methodist church officiated, assisted by Rev. H. H. Buckner of San Jose who preceded Mr. Walker as pastor. A quartet, Mrs. L. R. Vogel, Miss Agnes Ward, T. W. Baird, and Dr. G. N. Fisher sang comforting hymns at the house and at the grave. The pallbearers were: J. A. Fisher, M. R. Bench, W. A. Rice, A. J. Marken, W. H. Ward and G. F. Boutwell.
