He had lived in Morgan Hill eight years and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, Mary Kimble, and three children, Mrs. John Acton of Morgan Hill, Mrs. Beckwith of Sioux City, Iowa and Alfred Kimble of Winona, MN." Morgan HIll Times, August 11, 1911 "Obituary of George Kimble George Kimble died on August 3rd, 1911, at his home in Morgan Hill, California at the age of eighty-seven years and nine days. He was born July 25th, 1824 in Pike County, Pennsylvania. In the year 1850 he moved from Pennsylvania to Minnesota where he made his home up to the time of his coming to Morgan Hill eight years ago. In 1868 he married Mary Hatch. To them were born three children, Mrs. Beckwith of Sioux City, Iowa, Ellsworth M. Kimble of Minnesota and Mrs. Lottie Acton of Morgan Hill, California. These, together with his life companion, remain to mourn his departure. The funeral service was held in the Methodist Church last Saturday at 1:30 p. m., a short eulogy of the departed being pronounced by Rev. E. J. Bristow, pastor of the church. Three of Mr. Kiimble's near neighbors in Morgan Hill, Messrs. Henry Gordon, J. T. Green, and S. H. Naylor and three who were formerly neighbors in Minnesota, Messrs. W. A. Rice, M. R. Bench and A. Marken acted as pall bearers. Appropriate music was rendered by Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Edwards, their daughter Mrs. A. E. Thompson, and Mr. J. B. Flewelling. The remains were laid to rest in Mount Hope Cemetery, Morgan Hill.
