Morgan Hill Times May 28, 1909
Death of Bernard Machado

   Bernard J. Machado died at his home on Watsonville Road Monday night, May 24,
1909, age 34 years.  His mother, Mrs. Mary F. Machado, was at the ranch in lower
California and arrived home yesterday morning.  The funeral will be held this
morning at eight o'clock at the family residence; then to the Catholic Church at
Gilroy.  Hisw death will be a sad bereavement to Mrs. Machado, following the
death of her son James eighteen months ago and the death of her husband five
months ago.  Besides his mother he leaves to mourn his loss three sisters, Mrs.
Nellie Monkhous of San Jose, Mrs. Stella O'Toole of San Francisco and Mrs Mary
S. Hares of Morgan Hill, and one brother John Machado.

Additional Comments:
Bernard J. Machado was a son of Barney S. Machado and Mary F. Murphy.
