"Alda Ward Dies; Was Active in Local Club Work

   Funeral services were held this week for Mrs. Donalda "Alda" Ward, 78, a
Morgan Hill resident for 49 years, who died Saturday, November 29, in Wheeler
Hospital, Gilroy.
   A native of Canada, Mrs. Ward came to California in 1920.  She and her
husband, Harold Ward, a prune and walnut rancher, resided at 15320 Oak Glen
Avenue, Morgan Hill.
   Mrs. Ward was a member of the Morgan Hill Methodist Church, Manzanita Chapter
342 Order of Eastern Star, and Morgan Hill Grange.
   In addition to her husband, Harold, she is survived by two sons, Paul Ward of
Eureka, and John Ward of Menlo Park; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Duquette of La
Crenscenta; four sisters: Mrs. Margaret Acton of Morgan Hill; Mrs. Laura
McIntyre of Montreal; Mrs. Ethel Gillanders of Montreal and Mrs. Chris Long of
Winnipeg; and six grandchildren.
   Services ere held Tuesday, December 2, at 11 o'clock in the United Methodist
Church of Morgan Hill.  Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of
Johnson Funeral Home, Morgan Hill."

Donalda Mary McIntosh was a daughter of John Donald McIntosh and Margaret Chisholm.
