Ward Lifelong Resident Harold G. Ward died Friday in Morgan Hill. He was 95. Ward, a lifelong resident of the city was a member and past director of the Sunsweet Growers Association and Diamond Walnut Association. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of Morgan Hill, a charter member of the Morgan Hill Grange, a member of Morgan Hill Lodge 463 FA & M, the former trustee of Machado School and Live Oak High School, member of the Santa Clara County Grand Jury and American Legion Post 444 of Morgan Hill. He is survived by his sons Paul Ward of Morgan Hill and John Ward of Menlo Park; a daughter Wilma Duquette of La Crescenta; a sister Agnes Ellis of Watsonville, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Donalda Ward of Morgan Hill. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at United Methodist Church of Morgan Hill, 17175 Monterey Street. Services are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the United Methodist Church.
