“Billie Wetmur Passes On

   Willard S. Wetmur, familiarly known as “Billie” by his host of friends, died
Tuesday afternoon as his home on Alexander Street.  He had been ill for several
weeks, of heart trouble, and his death was not unexpected.  He recently moved
into his beautiful new home and took great pride in is erection and arrangement.
 He was a barber by trade and has resided in this city for over 30 years.  He
was a native of Wisconsin, born October 19, 1860, and resided in Minnesota
before coming to California.  Here he married Ena Bevans (who recently lost her
mother) and two daughters, Mable and Myrtle, are left with the widow to mourn
his departure.  He was kind and indulgent in the home circle and was proud of
his family.  Mr. Wetmur was the last one of his family, of 10 children, his
sister Mrs. Jas. Stephens* having passed away in Morgan Hill in November and his
brother in the east the same month.
   Rev. Edwin Castledine had charge of the services as Barsinger’s Chapel
Thursday p.m., assisted by Mrs. Eva Lord and Mrs. Fannie Holmes, as singers. 
The floral tributes were especially beautiful, the Red Men, T.F.B. and barbers
all sending beautiful designs.
   He was a member of Ogalalla Tribe, Impd, O.R.M. and there was a large turnout
of members and friends.  The tribe had charge of the burial rites, interment
being in the Masons and Odd Fellows cemetery.
