Purcell on Monterey street, at eleven o’clock Wednesday morning, June 22, 1910, when their daughter, Erna Irene was united in marriage to Mr. Thomas P. McKeon of Paso Robles. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. O. Edson, pastor of the Methodist church, the bridal couple standing under a wedding bell suspended from an arch of palms. Miss Elsie Edson played Mendelssohn’s wedding march and several other selections of exquisite music. The house was prettily decorated for the occasion with carnations and roses. The bride was tastefully gowned in a dress of cream white silk himalyn cloth. After the ceremony those present made their way to the dining room where a substantial wedding breakfast was served. Mr. and Mrs. McKeon left on the 1:38 train for a pleasure trip and will be at home to their friends after July 12th, at Adelaida, California, where Mr. McKeon is engaged in farming, stock—raising and mercantile business. The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Purcell, has lived in Morgan Hill since girlhood and has a large circle of friends here. She will be missed in social and lodge circles in which she took an active part when home. Of later years she has been away much of the time engaged in her chosen profession of teaching in which she met with well merited success. Her many friends wish her and her husband much of joy and prosperity. The Times joins in extending congratulations. Those present at the wedding besides the contracting parties and family were Rev. and Mrs. H. O. Edson, Misses Elsie Edson, Katheryn Wettley and Myrtle Russell.
