The Rev. Ken Landers of the church will officiate. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside. Mrs. Bernard died Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Redding Medical Center. Born Oct. 8, 1933 in Manitou, Okla., she moved to Shasta County in 1981 from Chico. She was a homemaker and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include husband Larry; daughters Kristina Serna of Shasta Lake and Kelli Mallard of Sun City; son David Gray of Spring Valley; brothers Ronald Henry of Silverhill, Ala., Charles Henry of Carlsbad, Gerald Henry of North Hills, and Chris Weerts and Larry Weerts Jr., both of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Additional Comments: The deceased is my mother "Joanie." She was born Violet Joan Henry on 8 October 1933 in Tillman County, Oklahoma.
