Reno Evening Gazette January 19, 1888
Sandford Morrison died of small-pox on the 17th inst, at Dixon’s ranch, ten
miles from Sierraville.  He was unmarried, aged 35 years, and was a brother of
Joseph Morrison, the first victim of the epidemic in Sierra City.
