W. Crystal Expires After an Illness of a Few Hours. The sudden death of Mrs. Sarah B. Crystal, wife of G. W. Crystal, which occurred Wednesday afternoon at 3:30, came as a shock to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, and brought a deep feeling of sorrow and of personal loss to many who have enjoyed her friendship. She complained of feeling ill shortly before lunch and finally a doctor was summoned. His treatment apparently brought relief, but she suddenly suffered a relapse and passed away almost immediately. The cause of death was acute indigestion, which affected the heart. Mrs. Crystal was the daughter of James H. and Mary A. McWilliams, and was born near Pittsburgh, Penn., March 15, 1846. She was united in marriage to G. W. Crystal at Des Moines, Iowa, and the young couple soon after removed to Dallas, Ore., where their early married life was spent. They came to California in 1885, locating at Napa. Two years later they removed to Vacaville, and have resided here continuously ever since. In 1869 she united with the Christian church and remained a faithful and conscientious member up to the time of her death. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, C. C. Crystal, and two brothers, E. B. McWilliams of Etua Mills, Cal., and George S. McWilliams of San Anselmo, Cal. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence. Interment Vacaville cemetery.
