(1880) Bloomington, Louis J. Was born in Prussia, Germany, on April 9, 1844. Here he resided till 1858, then emigrated to the United States, settling in New York City, and there worked at his trade, that of a tailor, until 1862, when he established a crockery trade in that city, which he carried on till 1864, when he opened a merchant tailoring establishment, remaining in this-business till 1871. During this year he moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he resided till 1876, and was engaged in mercantile pursuits, then emigrated to this State, settling in San Francisco, and on April 11, 1878, came to Santa Rosa, and immediately opened his clothing and merchant tailoring establishment, where by close attention to business and good workmanship he has increased his business till it is second to none in the county. Mr Bloomington married on June 16, 1864, Miss Henrietta Aaron, who was born in Prussia, Germany, on January 9, 1844. Their children are Sarah, Lilly, Lizzie, Josephine, Millie, Addy, Morris, Henry and Hayme.
