(1880) Haigh, Robert. Born in Washington county, Missouri, February 23, 1847. When he was but six years of age, his parents emigrated to California by way of the plains, and on arrival settled on a farm in Santa Clara county, where they remained until 1856, in which year they removed to Sonoma county, and settled on a farm near Litton Springs, where his father and mother still reside. The subject of this sketch was educated at the Sotoyome Institute in Healdsburg. In 1871, in company with his brother George, he embarked in stock-raising,which business they have since followed. Their stock range comprises about three thousand acres, and is situated in the mountains, about twenty-five miles north-west from Healdsburg. Mr. Haigh married, October 23, 1872, Elizabeth Rogers, a native of Jackson county, Missouri, by whom he has: Estella, born January 31, 1874; Robert C, born December 21, 1875; and Leonora, born April 3, 1878.
