(1880) Pfau, Louis. Was born in Port Richmond on Staten Island, N. Y., on October 27, 1857. When a mere child his parents came to California and located in San Francisco where they remained four years, when they proceeded to Alvarado, Alameda county, residing three years, thence to this county in 1864 and settled in Petaluma where he has since dwelt. In March, 1879, he became an equal partner with H. Gerckens in the management of the Union Hotel.
