The Mutual Relief Association, of Petaluma, to which we have elsewhere referred, deserves more extended notice as one of the most successful and useful organizations in this county. To the efforts of G. R. Codding, the secretary, ihe success of the society is mainly due. It accomplishes the object of life insurance at the least possible cost, and with the greatest possible benefits. Its members are distributed through Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and British Columbia. The funds are loaned on real estate, and the management is honest, economical and safe. A full list of officers and directors appears in an advertisement in another part of this book.
