"OBITUARIES. SAMUEL E. ALFORD.  Aug. 24, 1957 - Dec. 24, 1993.  Samuel Edward
Alford, 36, of Denair died Friday at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.

Mr. Alford was a native of Turlock and lived in Denair all his life.  He was a
maintenance man and was a member of Denair Friends Church.

He is survived by his wife, April Alford of Denair; children, Samantha Alford,
Amber Alford and Vanessa Alford, all of Denair; brothers, John Alford of
Roxobel, N.C., Thomas Alford of St. James, Mo., and Roy Alford of Las Vegas,
Nev.; sister, Mary Moore of Winton.

A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday [December 29] at Denair
Cemetery.  A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Denair
Friends Church.  Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Allen
Mortuary, Turlock.

Remembrances may be made to the Samuel Alford Memorial Fund, Delta National
Park, 4701 Main, Denair 95316 or Denair Friends Church, 4033 N. Gratton Road,
Denair 95316." END
