Allen Manvel dead
One Of The Most Successful Railway Men In The West
San Diego,Cal.,Feb 24- Allan Manvel,president of the Atchison,Topeka and Sante 
Fe,who has been ailing for some time at the Hotel del Coronade with Bright's 
disease,died early this moring.Mr.Manvel came here with his family three weeks 
ago.He was suffering from overwork and Bright's disease.Dr. Bridges had been 
summoned twice from Los Angeles.For some time Mr. Manvel had been only partly 
onsciuos.His condition last night awakened no fer of immediate death,and the 
family retired at a late hour. The physicians,however remained byhis 
bedside.About midnight his wife and daughter were summoned.He had regianed 
consiousness and he knew he was dying.He quickly sank and expired.It was the 
wish of Mr.Manvel that his remians shold be interred here,and the funeral will 
take place at the Hotel Coronade tomorrw at 2 P.M. The services will be those 
of the Presbyterian church.A private car was sent to Cornoado a few days ago 
in anticiaption of his death.Telegrams of condolence and sympathy are pouring 
in.
