Appeal Democrat, March 21, 1968 Pg 14 Bill McPherrin, Sutter Native, Rites Saturday William Henry McPherrin, 67, of 516 Eighth St., Marysville, collapsed and died at his home early last night. Death apparently was due to a heart attack. He was a native of Sutter city, a son of the late William H. (Sr.) and Authalena McPherrin. McPherrin had been an insurance agent for 43 years. He was a member and past exalted ruler of the Marysville Lodge of Elks and was affiliated with the following Masonic organizations: Corinthian Lodge No. 9 F & AM, Washington Chapter No. 13 R & AM, Marysville Council No 3 R&SM, Fidelia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star (Yuba City), Sacramento Consistory, Ben Ali Temple of the Shrine of Sacramento and Sacramento Valley Shrine Club. He was a member of Sutter Parlor No. 26, native Sons of the Golden West. He was a graduate of Sutter Union High School. Survivors include his wife, Berthilde; a son, Richard of Yuba City; a brother, Verne of Sutter; two sisters, Alvera (Mrs Lawton) Parker of Yuba City and Leila (Mrs Albert) Walsh of Oroville, and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday in Hutchison's Colonial Chapel with Rev. Edgar Nelson of the First Methodist Church of Yuba City officiating. Masonic services will be conducted by officers of Corinthian Lodge no. 9 F&AM. Interment will be in Sierra View Memorial Park.
