Appeal Democrat, Saturday, April 11, 1964, Pg 8 Addie Harris Succumbs at 92 in Yuba City Addies Harris, 9, of Yuba City, daughter of pioneer settlers of Sutter County died yesterday at a rest home in Yuba City. The daughter of the late John Schlag of Switzerland and Josephine Whyler Schlag, she was a native of Sutter County and had lived in this area all her life. The Whyler family came across the plains in the gold rush days and Josephine Whyler married John Schlag in Marysville in 1860. The Whylers farmed three 160 acres government claims later known as Whyler tract. Survivors in addition to her husband, Edward H. Harris, include; a daughter, Mrs Frank Welter, of Yuba City, a brother, John Schlag of Sutter, Mrs Elizabeth Percy , Mrs Edwina Dean; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Ullrey's Memorial Chapel Monday at 11 a.m. by Rev. Edgar Nelson. Cremation services will be at Sierra View Memorial Park and inurnment will be at Sutter Cemetery.
