Appeal Democrat Tuesday June 01, 1948 pg 1 Lillie Stohlman dies at Home In the same home in which she was born, 61 years ago and in which she had lived during her entire life- time, Miss Lillie Stohlman died yesterday. Miss Stohlman was the daughter of the late Henry Stohlman who was one of the first men to develop farming in Sutter county coming here in 1871 and buying the property which is now known as the Stohlman ranch west of Sutter City. She is survived by a sister, Miss Clara Stohlman and two brothers, Louis C Stohlman with whom she made her home on the ranch and Henry Stohlman of Live Oak as well as several nephews and nieces. The Stohlman family formerly numbered eight brothers and sisters, all born on the pioneer ranch. Ullrey Memorial chapel of Yuba City will be in charge of funeral services to be conducted at 11 am Thursday at the chapel with Rev Dahlgren Casey of Sutter Community church officiating. Interment will take place in Sutter cemetery.
