Appeal Democrat February 23, 1953 pg 9 col 3 Medford M Sullenger Sullenger - Medford Mathew Sullenger, 83, of 814 Orange Street., Yuba City, died Saturday in a local hospital following a brief illness. He was a native of Joplin, Mo., and had lived in this area since he was a boy. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Thelia A Dahneke of Sacramento; two sons, George M Sullenger of North Sacramento and Chester B Sullenger of Yuba City; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday in the Ullrey Memorial chapel Yuba City with Rev. E. O. Down, pastor of the First Southern Baptist church of North Sacramento officiating. Interment will be in Sutter cemetery. Appeal Democrat Thursday Feb 26-1953 pg 12 col 6 Funerals Sullenger - Funeral services for Medford Matthew Sullenger for many years a resident of Sutter County were held wednesday morning in the Ullrey Memorial Chapel with Rev E. O. Downs pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church of North Sacramento officiating Mr. D W Lammers was the soloist accompanied at the organ by Mrs Velma Yates. Interment was in the Sutter Cemetery. Casket bearers were: Robert Dahneke, Jack Dahneke, Arthur Sullenger, Cecil Jack, Albert Onstott and Gene Williams.
