C. F. Summy succumbs at 89
Charles Frederick Summy, 89, a native and lifelong resident of Sutter County died 
yesterday at Rideout hospital. Born in Meridian on Nov 1 1880, Summy was a retired 
farmer. He lived at 2810 California St., Sutter. Survivors include two son, Yuba City 
Unified School District Sup. Clarence A Summy of Yuba City and Charles Summy of 
Corvalis, Oregon, a daughter, Mrs Shirley Curtis of Yuba City ; a sister, Mrs Winnifred 
Weis of Yuba City; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services 
will be Friday at 10 am in Ullrey Memorial chapel with Rev. Edgar Nelson, pastor of the 
Yuba City First Unified Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sutter Cemetery.
