Marysville Democrat Tuesday 06-21-1921 pg 7 Eugene Summy dies Suddenly Sutter City -Heart trouble is believed to have caused the sudden death late yesterday afternoon of Eugene Summy, pioneer farmer of Sutter County. Summy was engaged in picking fruit yesterday when he had a fainting spell. A physician was summoned, but Summy failed to rally and death ensued. Summy had made his home in Sutter County for many years where he was well and favorably known. He is survived by his wife Anna Summy of Sutter City, and four brothers; Jack Summy of Meridian, Leonidas Summy of Sutter City, Alonzo Summy of Meridian and George Summy of Sutter. Deceased was a native of Illinois and 58 years old. The funeral arrangements are in charge of R. E. Bevan & Sons and will be held from family residence at 2 pm Wednesday Marysville Democrat June 23, 1921 Funeral of Eugene Summy The funeral of Eugene Summy who died suddenly a few days ago, was held yesterday afternoon from the family home in Sutter City. Rev. L. C. Smith officiated at the funeral which was largely attended by the many friends of the deceased. The following acted as casket bearers: Bradley Perry, E. S. Wadsworth, Lawrence Schillig, George Forderhase, R. M. Fichter, Charles Moore, S. R. McLean and Martin New?om. Interment was made in the family plot in the Sutter City cemetery under the direction of R. E. Beyan & Sons.
