Appeal Democrat Monday January 11, 1982 pg A-4 Virginia Lotta Wadsworth, 89, native of Sutter, died Saturday in Chico. She was born and grew up in Sutter. Her husband, Leo Wadsworth, a former president of Chaffey College in Ontario, died in 1975. A Chico resident since 1974, she was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Chico. She also was a member of the Chaffey College business and faculty organization. Survivors include: two son, Leo A Wadsworth Jr., of Laguna Miguel, and Ralph of Chico; a daughter, Virginia Wiseman of Sebastopol; a sister, Willah Cummins of Sacramento; a brother, Francis Beecroft of Scottsdale, Arizona; nine grandchildren and seven great children. Another son, Harold died in 1949. Funeral services are to be conducted at 10 am Wednesday at the Hall VanHook Funeral Chapel i n Chico with Rev. N. Callaway of Los Molinas, a retired minister and the Rev. Robert Stewart of the Trinity UMC Church co-officiating. Graveside services conducted by Rev. Callaway are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday in sutter Cemetery. Contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity have been suggested by the family.
