The union has been blessed by twelve children, eight girls and four boys of whom nine are living: Wave Moulton of Dunsmuir, Winnie Fremd, Mildred Hampton, Vina, Lillian, Bulah, William, Merrill, and Bernal Woodward, all of Paynes Creek, California. She leaves besides her children and husband to mourn her death, two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Lulu McKenzie of Red Bluff, Mrs. Frank Childs of Paynes Creek, and Abner C. Nanney of Vancouver, Washington. Alice Ida [sic] Woodward was baptized and became a member of the Christian church in 1902. She was stricken by a sudden illness and taken away without suffering on May 20, 1919 at the age of forty-seven years, one month, and eight days. The funeral service today was conducted by Rev. J.M. Ocheltree, pastor of the M.E. church, Rev. McHatton being out of town. The pall bearers were E.C. Powel, George Turner, George Martin, W. H. Fisher, Charles C. Dale and John J. Morgan. The ranch where she was born was the "Ide" ranch of William B. Ide fame, her great grandfather.
