A native of Astoria, Oregon, Mr. Nilsson was born June 24, 1911. He was 70 years old. Nilsson was a retired purchasing agent for the Trinity County Road Departmment. He was an honorary member of the Weaverville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of E. Clampus Vitus. During World War II, Nilsson was a commerical artist for Lockheed Aircraft. A talented artist and singer, Nilsson had his own art shows in southern California and led his own band before moving to Weaverville. In the past, he often donated his services as an artist to the community. He is survived by his wife, Edna of Weaverville, a son, Kenneth of Denver, Colorado, a brother, Alan and a sister, Anita Kankkonen both of Astoria, Oregon. Private family services will be held at the Greenwood cemetery in Astoria at a later date.
