Know all men by these presents That I Andrew Drumm of the County of Tulare and State of California for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven Hundred dollares to me in hand paid by John Findley of same County and State the receipt of which hereby is acknowledged have remised, released, quit-claimed and confirmed, and by these presents do remise, release, quit-claim and confirm unto the said John Findley his heirs and assigns, all my right, title, claim, and interest of, in and to all that certain tract and parcel of land lying and situate in the County of Tulare State of California and described as follows viz: Commencing at a point marked by two oak trees on the side of a ravine in Drumm's Valley in the Northern part of the County of Tulare State of California, thence running in a easterly direction One Hundred and Sixty rods, to a stake on the edge of a pile of rocks, thence Southerly One Hundred and Sixty rods, to a Stake hewed square: thence westerly One Hundred and Sixty rods to a State: and thence Northerly One Hundred and Sixty rods, to the place of beginning: - Also all my right of possession of in and to all that tract of land included and embraced within the area enclosed by the brush fence which surrounds the above described land and other land adjoining thereto and known a Drumms Ranch and containing in all about Seven Hundred acres - To have and to hold all and Singular the above described lands, together with the tenaments(?) and appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said John Findley his heirs and assigns forever In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto fixed my hand and Seal this Sixth day of April AD 1865 A. Shackleford County Recorder in and for said Tulare County, personally appeared Andrew Drumm to me personally known to be the individual described in and who executed the annexed Instrument and the said Andrew Drumm acknowledged to me that he executed the same freely and voluntarily and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed by Official seal the day and year in this certificate first above written T.J.
