Rev. John Trimble of the Farmersville Methodist church officiated and concluding services were under the auspices of the Orange Blossom Rebekah lodge of Exeter. Casket bearers were W. F. Jordan, Henry Mehrten, Claude Johnson, J. E. Jordan, T. S. McFall and Frank Amendola. Burial was in the Exeter cemetery. Mrs. Balaam was born in Chetopa, Kansas, but came to Porterville with her parents when she was one year old. She moved to the Farmersville area 57 years ago. She married Edward D. Balaam in February, 1914, and they have made their home near Farmersville since then. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert B. Long of Lockwood; four sisters, Mrs. Nora C. Bequette, Mrs. Ida C. Johnston, Mrs. Cora L. Frans and Mrs. Dona Bequette, all of Farmersville; two grandchildren, Robert B.
