Most of his life was spent as a teamster, operating into and out of the Sierras, but the latter years in Tulare, where he operated Dad’s Transfer. His favorite story of the early days, and he had many of them, was of the time when as a youngster in his ‘teens he drove a flock of turkeys from Farmersville to San Francisco. Besides Mrs. Baxley, he leaves a son, Clarence, of Waukena; a brother, Edward B.
