"LOCAL NEWS NOTES.  Brother Dies - Funeral services were held in Visalia 
yesterday [April 1] at the Locey and Hadley undertaking parlors for John 
[George] Harlan Farley, 58, of Hanford, who died at the Springville 
sanatarium.  Mr. Farley was a brother of Mrs. M. [Montgomery] A. Hornbeak of 
this city [Porterville]. Other relatives are his father, James H. Farley of 
Hanford, and one brother, Ernest R. Farley of San Francisco.  Mr. Farley spent 
his entire life in the Visalia and Hanford districts." END

Evening Recorder (Porterville, California).  April 2, 1928 (Monday).  Page 4, 
Column 5.  George [aka John] Harlan Farley was born in Alameda County, 
California on February 3, 1870 to James Henry and Sarah Ann (Harlan) Farley.  
He is buried in the Visalia Cemetery.
