Merchant Kelsey of Visalia Accidentally Shot While Hunting. HANFORD, Cal., Dec. 2. Robert Broder, deputy constable of Visalia, and [John] William Kelsey, ex-city marshal and a merchant of Visalia, left here Saturday for a hunt on the West Side. Yesterday, while out hunting in a buggy, a gun was accidentally discharged, the load striking Kelsey and frightfully lacerating one side of his head. The wounded man was taken to Lemoore, where he died at noon to-day." END Additional Comments: I believe he is buried in the Visalia Cemetery.
