The Union Democrat, Sonora, CA  March 29, 1985
Ruby East Focht, 85, a pioneer businesswoman from Jamestown, died this morning 
in her home after a long illness.  Mrs. Focht, a native of Texas, came to 
California when she was 7.  She lived with her family in Los Angeles and 
Oregon several years and then moved to Tuolumne County and settled in 
Jamestown.  She is survived by a son, Walter, four grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren.  

Additional Comments:
Ruby is buried in the IOOF cemetery in Sonora, California.
