Chalmer F. Focht, 86, died yesterday in the Jamestown home he occupied for 
nearly 50 years.  A native of Los Angeles, Mr. Focht lived in Tuolumne County 
for 52 years.  He and his wife, Ruby East Focht, have owned and operated the 
East Grocery in Jamestown since the 1930's.  He is survived by his wife, Ruby, 
of Jamestown; his stepson, Walter East, also of Jamestown; a sister, Ethel 
Mallette, of Carlsbad; and a brother, Bud Focht, of Oceanside;four 
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

Additional Comments:
Chalmer Focht is buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Sonora, California.
