Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net March 7, 2005, 10:20 pm "The Davis Enterprise," Saturday, August 14, 2004 Kandiah Arulanandan Kandiah Arulanandan died Aug. 11, 2004, in Walnut Creek. He was 79. Born in Sri Lanka on Aug. 2, 1925, he earned a master's degree in civil engineering from Cambridge University in England, and doctorate degree in civil engineering from UC Berkeley. He moved to Davis in 1965. He was a professor of civil engineering at UC Davis for 35 years. He was recognized as a world leader in geotechnical engineering. He moved to Danville in 2002. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rajes Arulanandan; sons Chandran Arulanandan and Shiva Arulanandan; daughter Rohini Solos and her husband Dean; and five grandchildren, Anjali, Ahilan, Christostomi, Shivanthi and Lucky. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave., Walnut Creek, CA 94595. For information, call (925) 934-5400.
