Jan. 2, 1934 - Oct. 29, 2005

Shirley passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 after a long and courageous battle 
with cancer. She was 71 years young. She passed at home with her husband of 50 
years by her side. She was born Jan. 2, 1934 at the Letterman Army Hospital in 
San Francisco. On June 2, 1955 Shirley married the man she loved. She 
graduated from UC Berkeley in 1960.

She resided in Santa Cruz for many years before moving to Davis in 1986. She 
worked for UCD until retiring in 1992. She loved to vacation on the island of 
Kauai. She remained incredibly close to her family and will be extremely 
missed.

She leaves behind her husband Harvey. Sons Michael, Brian and Greg. Their 
wives Cathy, Nancy and Merry. Grandchildren are Sean, Brandy, Michael, 
Michelle, Mike, Samantha and Scott. 

We would like to express our utmost thanks to the staff at Sutter Hospice. 
Shannon, Davette, Kerrie, Norma and Marta were so much help to Shirley and our 
family. Thanks to Margaret for caring for her in her last days. Your kindness 
will be remembered.

We will honor her life and memory at a time to be determined. Family and 
friends will be notified.
