Mary Borba of Woodland died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006 at age 93.

Mrs. Borba was born Nov. 15, 1912 in Oakland to Joseph S. and Angelina (Mello) 
Pimentel. She had been a Yolo County resident for 85 years. She was a member 
of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Survivors include Mrs. Borba's son, Manuel A. Borba Jr. of Oakland; her 
sisters, Isabel Bettencourt and her husband Frank of Woodland, Evelyn 
Schreiber of Woodland; and her brother, Clarence Pimentel of Fremont. She was 
preceded in death by her husband of more than 65 years, Manuel A. Borba Sr.; 
her parents; and her sister, Belmira Pires.

The family requests memorials in Mrs. Borba's name be directed to the charity 
of the donor's choice.

Services: Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 with a 
rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. A 
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 
Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. Interment will follow 
the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Woodland. Kraft Bros. Funeral 
Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
