Funeral Rites to be Held Today for Worthen Burrows

Funeral services will be held this morning at 11 o'clock at the McCune Garden
Chapel, Vacaville, for Worthen Burrows, 81, who died Monday morning in his
Vacaville home.  

The Masonic lodge will preside at the interment service at the Winters cemetery.  

A native of Placerville, Burrows was reared in Winters graduating from the local
schools, and was in the dried fruit business here for a number of years.  He
later was a superintendent for the California Prune and Apricot Growers
Association in Napa prior to his retirement to Vacaville about 15 years ago.  He
was a member of the Masonic Lodge no. 12 in Napa.  

He is survived by his wife, Fannie; a son, John Burrows of San Francisco; two
daughters, Mrs. Frances Bentley of Calistoga and Mrs. Margaret Grubbs of Erie,
Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren and a brother, Charles Burrows of Winters.
