George Chambers died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006 at Woodland Memorial Hospital at 
age 89.

Mr. Chambers was born Dec. 19, 1916 in Aurora, Nev. to George and Adaline 
(Quenell) Chambers. He had been a Yolo County resident for 60 years. He grew 
up and graduated from high school in Seattle. For more than 50 years, he 
worked in the construction industry, working on sites including Woodland 
Memorial Hospital. He retired in 1984. He was a member of Carpenters Union 
Local No. 46. 

Survivors include Mr. Chamber's wife Vesta Chambers of Esparto; and his 
godson, Stephen Day of Woodland.

Services: Graveside services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at 
Capay Cemetery, 24727 County Road 22, Esparto. Evergreen Funeral Service of 
Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
