She was born in San Francisco April 26, 1905. Her parents, Michilina and Francisco Bertolucci, had immigrated to the United States in 1900 from Lucca, Italy. Following the San Francisco earthquake, her family relocated to Woodland. Victoria graduated from Dingle Elementary School and attended Woodland High School. She went to work at age 16 at what was then Martha's Bakery and is now Timothy's Bakery. She later worked for many years at the Woodland Laundry, and then the Woodland French Laundry from where she retired. Victoria was a great walker, loved to shop and in her retirement years enjoyed many activities at the Senior Center. Victoria celebrated her 100th birthday last April with two parties, and salutations from President Bush and past president William Clinton. She is survived by her daughter Ima Jean Badger and son-in-law Bob Badger of Woodland, granddaughters Vicky Kaleta and husband Paul of Lake Tahoe, Cindy Ithurburn of Yuba City and grandson Dan Badger of Lockeford and his fiancˇe Kristy Geer of Davis. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Karin and Casey Kaleta of Lake Tahoe and Michelle, Christinia, Bert and Bob Ithurburn of Yuba City. Preceding her were her parents, brother Adolph "Monk" Bertolucci and husband Wallace H. Childers in 1966. Victoria was cherished by her family and her wonderful sense of humor and common sense approach to life will be missed. The family will celebrate her life and wish to extend many thanks to the Alderson staff for their care and concern over these last years. McNary's Chapel is assisting with arrangements, and remembrances in her honor should be the donor's choice. Visit the guest book at www.dailydemocrat.com.
