Mrs. Crawford was born Aug. 17, 1913 in Oil Trough, Ark. to Ed and Nova (Patterson) Pasley. She had been a Yolo County resident for one year and a Dixon resident for 61 years. She worked as a caterer, baked pies at the Milk Farm Restaurant; operated the Dixon Livestock Yard restaurant; catered meals for the Rotary and Lions clubs, weddings and food events in Dixon; cooked and delivered meals to Dixon seniors and the Head Start Program. She won blue ribbons for her cooking at the Dixon May Fair. She was selected as Dixon's Citizen of the Year in 1996. When she died, she was the longest standing member of the Dixon Methodist Church. She also served on the church's board, was head chef for the annual Harvest Dinner and Christmas Bazaar, and chairwoman for food and garden booths at the May Fair. She was a founding member of the Wednesday Evening Circle, a Christian Woman's group. With her husband she organized the Moose Lodge and was their first Senior Regent, receiving the College of Regents Degree. She also received the Co-Worker of the Year Award from Mooseheart, Ill. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and served as Noble Grand, thus becoming a member of the Past Noble Grand Club. She also served on the Dixon Senior Citizens board of directors and advisory board for the city of Dixon. Survivors include Mrs. Crawford's children, Faye LeClair of Davis, Ray Crawford Jr. and his wife Dianne of Klamath Falls, Ore., Sam Crawford and his wife Mary of Woodland; her grandchildren, Shelley Simas and her husband Chris; Lance LeClair; Terri La Brie and her husband Joe; Bret Crawford and his wife Nikki; Bart Crawford and his wife Megan, Traci Morrow and her husband K.C.; Brad Crawford and his wife Alisha; Ed Renick and his wife Katie; Angie Hayes and her husband Jake and Anna Renick; 24 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Christine Klinge of Davis and Luella Guaydacan of Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Everett Crawford Sr.; her parents; and her brothers, Bill and Tom Pasley. The family requests memorials in Mrs. Crawford's name be directed to the Dixon Methodist Church. Services: Viewing is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 569 First St., Dixon. A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Dixon United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Cathy Morris. Interment will be private at the Dixon Cemetery.
