Farnham, Doris Leoma (Hansen)

Doris Leoma (Hansen) Farnham died in Woodland's Alderson Convalescent 
Hospital, at 9:45 Thursday evening, Jan. 26, 2006, at age 91.

Born Dec. 14, 1914, in Seattle, Wash., she had been a Yolo County resident for 
72 years. She was the eldest of three daughters born to the late Frank and 
Selma (Umdal) Hansen. She grew up in Seattle and was a Queen Anne High School 
graduate, in 1933. She served as a medical receptionist, in Woodland, for 20 
years and taught international folk dancing for many years.

Mrs. Farnham is survived by her husband of 72 years, Joe Farnham; grandson, 
Brett Farnham; and great-grandchildren, Blake and Hillary Farnham, all of 
Woodland. Also surviving is her sister, Peggy Oakes of San Antonio, Texas; 
niece, Janett Campagna of Seattle, Wash.; and a great many close friends in 
Yolo County. Mrs. Farnham was preceded in death by her son, Neil Farnham, in 
1996; granddaughter, Lynn Farnham, in 1982; and sister, Jane Campagna.

Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Farnham, no formal funeral is scheduled. 
Sacramento Valley Memorial Society of North Sacramento is assisting the family 
with cremation.
