Frazier, Mary Alice

Mary Alice Frazier died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006 at Alderson Convalescent 
Hospital in Woodland at age 91.

Mrs. Frazier was born July 12, 1914 in Yolo County to Lewis J. Richter and 
Kate (Morris) Richter. She lived her entire life in Yolo County. She was a 
1933 graduate of Woodland High School and a 1937 graduate of Chico State 
College. She was a member of Delta Phi Upsilon, National Honorary Professional 
Kindergarten-Primary Fraternity, Delta chapter. She was an elementary and high 
school teacher for the Woodland Joint Unified School District for seven years. 
Beginning in 1949, she kept weather observation records for the State 
Department of Water Resources. She was a volunteer at St. John's Retirement 
Village for many years.

Survivors include Mrs. Frazier's sons, Karl Frazier and his companion Linda 
Teal of Woodland and Earl Frazier and his wife Chong Boon of Milpitas; her 
grandchildren, Susan Frazier, Edward Frazier, Tamara Frazier and Kyle Frazier; 
and her great-grandchildren Marissa Souza and Ava Frazier. She is preceded in 
death by her brother, Elwyn R. Richter.

The family requests memorials in Mrs. Frazier's name be directed to St. John's 
Retirement Village, 135 Woodland Ave., Woodland, 95695 or to the charity of 
the donor's choice. 

Services: Entombment services will be private in accordance with Mrs. 
Frazier's final wishes. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland is assisting 
the family with arrangements.
