Mrs. Galindo was born in West Sacramento on June 28, 1930 and was the third child of the seven children to be born to Jose and Areopajita (Diaz) Galindo. She was a Yolo County resident for 60 years. Elisa was employed by Contadina Foods for 40 years. She enjoyed the years of working with her co-workers and looked forward to each new season at the cannery. Elisa demonstrated her love of life through cooking and canning, spending time with her family and showing interest and concern for their well- being throughout each of their lives. An avid Catholic, with a strong faith in the Lord, attending Mass at Holy Rosary was very important to her. One of the things she most enjoyed in life was her afternoon walk to enjoy the fresh air and to commune with nature and enjoy its beauty. Mrs. Galindo is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jose "Fidel" Galindo, her sons, Jesse Galindo and wife Sandi of Woo dland, Jaime Galindo and fiancˇe Anne Bernath of Fostoria, Ohio and her daughter, Elizabeth G. Limon of Elk Grove. Also surviving Elisa are her grandchildren, Ryan Galindo and Toni Galindo of Woodland and Danny Limon of Elk Grove. Her devoted sisters who survive her are Manuelita Galindo, Elvira Holguin, Socorro Zaragoza and Teresa Orozco and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Galindo and Waldo Galindo and her beloved grandson, Robert "Bobby" Galindo Limon. Visitation and viewing is scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. A rosary will begin after the visitation at 4 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Enrique Alvarez officiating. Entombment will follow the Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery, Sacramento. The family requests memorial donations in her memory to be made to Holy Rosary Building Fund or to the Yolo County Animal Services Shelter. Kraft Bros.
