Faulkin died unexpectedly on Oct. 13, 2002, at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville. Born on Oct. 27, 1951, to Leslie and Lois Faulkin in Ottawa, Kan., he was 50 years old. He was one of two children born to the couple. After graduating from Davis High School in 1969, he worked for Butler Landscaping for a short time, then Bokan Brothers. As an auto parts sales representative, he traveled throughout Northern California, Oregon and Nevada. He especially loved to travel and often went to Mexico and to the ocean. He was married in December 1976 to Jane L. Sullivan. They had one daughter together. For the past eight years, he lived in Grants Pass, Ore. He then moved back to California, settling in Marysville. He had many enjoyments in life, including Giants baseball and Raiders football. He especially loved rock 'n' roll music. He worked for KDVS radio and the local community radio station. He even worked as a disc jockey during several periods in his life. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark S. Faulkin, who died on Nov. 9, 1985. He is survived by his father, Leslie J. Faulkin of Davis; his mother, Lois N. Faulkin of Grants Pass, Ore.; his daughter, Heather A. Faulkin-Flood of Davis and her husband William "Brian"; his grandchildren, William "Christopher," Delaney and Jordan, all of Davis; his aunt, Jo Trettin of Grants Pass, Ore.; and his ex-wife, Jane L. Sullivan of Davis as well as the entire Sullivan family. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road.
