Born on July 27, 1917, she was 85 years old. She was a devoted wife for more than 46 years to the late Albert Albracht, a beloved mother to three children, Robert, Peter, and James and his wife Gail; and a cherished grandmother of three grandchildren, Emily, Daniel and Matthew. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1917 and was raised there as an only child by her late parents Mary (O'Brien) and Charles Albracht. She graduated from Villa Maria College for Women in Erie, Pa., where she studied physical education. She married Albert of Rockville Centre, N.Y., at Our Lady of Refuge Roman Catholic Church of Brooklyn in 1946. Before moving several times to Valley Stream, N.Y.; Malverne, N.Y.; and Deerfield, Ill.; the couple settled into their long-term residence in Massapequa, N.Y., in 1962. Following her husband's death in 1992, she moved to Davis to be near her son Peter. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who was best known for her gentle and kind personality, strong family values and a deep faith in God. Viewings were held on Sept. 20 at the Massapequa Funeral Home in Massapequa, N.Y. A funeral Mass to celebrate her life was held at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Massapequa.
