Robert Vernon Reed

Robert Vernon Reed died Sept. 13, 2002, at his home in Woodland. He was 92.

He was born in Memphis, Mo., to the late Peter and Daisy Rush Reed. He was a
Yolo County resident for 70 years. He was employed with Pargas in Woodland for
35 years and was the district manager when he retired.

He was a member of Woodland Christian Church and Woodland Masonic Lodge, and he
was active with the Woodland Community Garden. He served in the U.S. Army during
World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Eithel Reed of Woodland; a son and daughter-in-law,
Robert L. and Mardelle Reed of Woodbridge; and grandchildren Kristine Reed
Barnaby and her husband Bill of Sacramento, and Peter Christopher Reed and his
fiancˇe, Jessica, of Lodi.

Visitation will be from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at McNary's Chapel in
Woodland. Funeral services will be at Woodland Christian Church at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park.

McNary's Chapel is assisting with the arrangements.
