Sheila L. Martin

Sheila Lois Martin died at Palm Gardens in Woodland on Aug. 17, 2002, after a
long struggle with multiple sclerosis. She was 61.

She was born in Ohio on July 2, 1941, to the late Lou and Margaret Doherty. She
was a Yolo County resident for 28 years. From 1978 to 1990, she worked as a
medical technologist at Yolo General Hospital. She then worked at Kaiser
Hospital and American River Hospital. She was also an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband, Travis L. Martin of Woodland; children, Ali
McGurie of Albuquerque, N.M., and Patricia and Robert Martin, both of
Sacramento; and grandson Brandon McGuire of Albuquerque. Also surviving her are
two sisters, Diana Williams and Margo Doherty, both of Georgia; a sister-in-law,
Dardanilla Gummelt of Texas; and a brother-in-law Troy Martin of Texas.

Out of respect for her wishes, private family services were held at McNary's
Chapel. Internment will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine.

95616 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
