Adams Destiny Kaylah Adams, born May 20, 1989, in Victoria, British Columbia, died Aug. 13, 2002, at the age of 13. Her family was by her side when she passed away at her home in Woodland. She was an exceptional child with a love for all things in life. She enjoyed the years she and her family lived in Davis and was known by many of the people at the parks she often visited. She loved babies, dolls and sharing "love notes" with everyone. She also had a fondness for cats, dogs and all other animals. A very compassionate and kind girl, she wanted all of her friends to share in the celebration of her life. Before her death, she asked that "everyone wear bright colors of life and nothing somber." Her parents, Kristopher and Sherri (Snedden) Adams; her sisters, Shanna-Lee M. Adams and Tiffany L. Adams; her special friend Jake Vaughn; and all of Woodland survive her. Her paternal grandfather, Ted Adams of Portland, and her maternal grandmother, Jeanette L. Snedden of Victoria, British Columbia, also survive her. The family would like to thank the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, the staff and nurses at Kaiser Hospital Intensive Care Unit on Morse Avenue in Sacramento and the personnel of Kaiser Hospice for all their support and kindness during her illness. The family would also like to extend a special invitation to her celebration to those individuals. A chapel service will be held at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland on Saturday at 5 p.m. All of her family and friends are invited bring a love note for her. Minister Harry Washington will be officiating. Interment will be scheduled at a later date for her immediate family only. The family requests that memorial donations in her name be made to NAMI of Yolo County, P.O. Box 447, Davis, CA 95617.
